    End of Maternity 


    Time Flies.

    I am ending my 16 weeks maternity and going back to work tomorrow.

    It's a mixed feeling that I have right now. Both happy and sad at the same time. Happy about working as I felt quite out of touch from the society yet I wish to spend all my time with Abby and watch her grow up.

    As I looked back the last 16 weeks of maternity, it has been a very life changing experience for both hubby and myself. From the day my water bag burst and gave birth to Abby, I cannot remember having a day of uninterrupted sleep. In fact, I am actually quite amazed by my own body tolerance. Maybe this is what they call mother instinct. Most importantly, I have conquered zzzz monsters.

    I recalled those difficulties I encountered when I first latched on.  It is indeed A VERY TIRING job. Nipples were getting sorer and sorer (if there is this word) and also very painful when it started to engorge  Latching or expressing milk every 3-4 hours were troublesomely no joke especially in the middle of the night. But of course I am getting more comfortable with breastfeeding now as I  persevere on. After a while, I find a great fulfilment and bonding with my baby as I continue to breast feed.  Kudos to all breast feeding mommies. You are the greatest.

    Watching Abby grows day by day is the greatest joy I have experienced throughout this maternity. There is an indescribable joy in taking care of her and watch how she respond back with her smile. I am thankful that she is a little smiley lady and that's what I have always prayed for.
    Dear Lord, let the joy of the Lord be her strength.

    So, for our memory sake, I have done up a simple video using iMovie apps on my iPhone to remember those life sweetest moments we had during my 16 weeks of maternity. Kudos to the Best and Longest break I ever had i life.
