"Art" or "Bo Liao" ???

I think many of you might have came across this big poster right outside of Raffles City or have heard the news talking about it as well.... I just find it interesting... How colors and layering could play "tricks" with our eyes!! Anyway, Singapore Art Festival is coming.
how do you define abstract?? To me.... anything i don't understand are called Abstract! Ya i know you wanna say...."So shallow" right.

Just take a look at the poster with your naked eye....

Ermmm... A boy that was kanna electricute by lightning? My member said like 千手关音, full of power.... lol... why they like to associate with this idol??!!

OMG.... Now is a Indian man who look like he is in great pain.. screaming for help because another man is attempting to bite him... haha.. abstract art ma... must be more creative.

Oh anyway, many of my friends has been asking me about my Wedding date. Yup I am so excited for that day to come, but I haven't decide on a date cos my mama is choosing an Auspicious day for us.. lol though I know nuts about these and not that superstitious. But as a form of respect , I am really fine with it. I initially choose a date which i forgotten when but it actually falls on a Lunar June. According to chinese lunar calendar, June is a “disastrous” month. June = 半年夫妻, means that your marriage only can last for 6 months. And of cuz, Aug = 七月 which is 鬼月.... haha....I heard that some realative suppose to be so "pan-tan" and might not even wish to turn up for your wedding. Then again, it is so confusing. Next year is Leap year for chinese lunar calendar and the date is different again... OMG... haha... I only hope that mama don't choose any date that clashes with church big event like emerge, easter, xmas or whatever conferences.... That's all I pray for now. Hence, stay tune for my BIG DAY. Yeah

Derrick is blogging!

Just as you are a blogger fan of my wife-to-be, Ruxin..... I am one of them as well. Ruxin has been asking me to have a blog of my own but it turn a deaf ear. Today the reason I'm blogging on her site is to share an unusual experience....

On Sat, 27-Sep-08 1315hrs as I was walking to office from Tanjong Pager MRT, something caught my attention...... Take a look...

Did you notice anything special.....? Despite my poor written Chinese though I can speak well (sometime sound like Malaysian) , immediately it caught my attention... Translated as <Buy in Good or Faulty HP> however the Handphone is written as 手鸡!!! Oh my gosh....... Did this person had too much chicken cutlet prior doing this flyer?? Any person with half a brain can know that this doesn't look right..... 手机 is the correct character! Maybe you think that's all.....

King Of the Fruit

Woohoo... Cg outing for the month is paying a visit to the king of Fruit.. Yup.. You are right!! Durian Feasting at Geylang... At the same time celebrating some of the CG members birthday. haha... Liew lian liew lian liew lian..... haha.. Shall let the photo do the talking... It really quite a good experience.

HE PROPOSED!!! (17th September 2008)

This is the day the Lord has Made and I will be glad and rejoice in it.... DERRICK PROPOSE TO ME!!! I am so overwhelmed by the surprise when the video was played as Sandy Bolang sang our theme song- I crossed my heart. I thought I would be really calmed but I turned out to be so shock and pleasantly surprise. I am almost moved to tears.

The Day has finally come!! He knelt down, and said "I crossed my heart, pledge to you, all my Love.... Ruxin... Will You Marry Me".... That moment was indeed unforgettable as I replied " Yes..... I DO!!"

Wow oo..... Sandy bolang and team came for our NGO D&D... What a great privilege to have them sing our theme song. Gosh.. I am still a little slow.. I did not suspect anything when they first sang the song. Really appreciated it cos they just flew back from Indonesia... Thanks alot

Dreams Came True.... WE WON THE CAR!!

There is POWER in visualization!!!! This is undeniable! Power in Confession..... God is Good to us.... Winning the car was a common dream came true. Yeah!!!!! I am so flabbergasted with joy and word cannot describe the happiness within... I couldn't believe this!!! God really answered our persistent prayer. All these months of confession, believing and visualizing the winning moment... it all came to pass... No one can say that this is a coincidence... God is at work. I love you Abba father!!

My name was the first one being called out.... I screamed!!! Jump out of my seat and run out.... the draw was not that simple like many thought... Boss would draw 10 names from the big tank and then eliminate 5 name from the 10. If I didn't remember wrongly, here is the 10 names

Ruxin, Elaine Cheng, Mah Chu Yen, Christine Chia, Doreen Tay, Nigel, Hao Han, Ronald Wong, Wiltian, Kah Kong Hao...

Bernard(Host) has to eliminate 5 people from the second draw..... He called out the first 5 name... My name was not inside. A sense of disappointment feel my whole heart. Trying to console myself!!! I thought I am eliminated!! Hey who knows... those whose name are called out are the one that are eliminated!!!! Phewwww..... hehehe... I am in.. I am in.. Gosh!!! Cannot believe it men!

Can see right.... Disappointed!!

Then 5 boxes was brought in.. one of the box has the Car postcard which symbolise the winner for the Suzuki Swift..... Wah piang... I am seriously Stress up now... The crowd shouted that I should discern... How to men??? The wrapping paper all the same.... Derrick and I agreed to choose the first box. Everything was so divine! What makes the whole atmosphere so stress up.... The background music la .... Thanks to Victor, our soundman for the day.

Praise the Lord!!! This is DE Box... I couldn't wait for them to count even to 3... I teared the wrapping paper like a little kid..... Yeah yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the right box.... the post card is inside!!! the rest is just starbuck voucher... Hallelujah

To think about it, everything was so divine.... Last year, Derrick had already make a tithe of the car to God through building fund.... There was once, he went to rent a Suzuki Swift for a friend wedding... Initially, we wanted to have a red auto suzuki, but that company gave us a black manual Suzuki Swift. He still made a big fess over it... But it is so divine... all has been planned. God just want us to test drive that exact model that the company is about to give away.

Pastor Chee Kiang - Thanks alot Pastor for praying for us and getting all the CGL to pray as well. You sounded so happy over the phone yesterday.

Boss (Nicholas) - Thank Lao Ban for making the D&D and car draw possible. You've been such an encourager to both of us, teaching us to visualise and pray for our business.

Evelyn, our manager- Thanks Evelyn for making the car draw possible.. Thanks for all the coordination as well.... Thanks for your encouragement and generosity!

Joanna, bernard (Management team)- Thanks for your generosity for making this draw possible. Joanna has always been such an inspiring manager and friend for us to learn from too.

It's not OVER YET!!

When I thought that everything was over.... Derrick sent me home.... Guess what.... Another surprise.. Wow... my whole room was decorated up with helium balloons, rose petals, with new bedsheet. He even bought a lamp to create a romantic atmosphere.

"When did you did that?".... Ohhh.. When i went out to meet Val for hairdo... Everything was set up. Valerie was instructed to do hair with me. Thanks Willie and Jasleen for helping up too. I am so touched. Can't imagine that he will go to that extend for this occasion. I am already so satisfied for the whole evening. This is like an overflowing blessing. How sweet can this be... Why didn't the bible say that she who finds a good husband finds a good thing? Hahaha... I spent the whole evening convincing myself that this is all REAL. haha.Thanks my dear

Alright... Thanks for reading this super long post. That's all for today....I have celebrated and I must get back to my life and work hard now.. It is a beginning of something NEW in life. Cannot take anything for granted. Be bless
