    Song of Solomon

One word to describe this Bible Study....... "REFRESHED"

Love the presence of God. It always makes me feel lifted up and drawing closer to him makes me be secured of who I am.

Anyway... have a funny conversation with Derrick. (Only those that attends CWBS will understands..)

RX: How can we apply what we have learn today
RX: Pastor says you dun call your lover by name. but you call me names.... even nick names.... hmmmm... I am myrrh and needed a bed (I am bitter and needed a rest)
DT: I feel thorns now (I am hurt)
RX: Oh you are my lily and roses... (You are just so ordinary and insignificant to me)
DT: Oh you daughters of Jerusalem (You are just so childish)

lol.... Dun be mistaken... we understands the real meaning and the full message... just trying to be ................ ermmm.. you know.... trying to be silly.

    Busy Busy Busy

    Yeah....Been busy....

Sort of expected it cos wedding is drawing closer.

What have I been doing the whole week???

Renovation plays a big part why I'm preoccupied. Though is only renovating rooms but it is taking up alot of time as the contractors only have 2 workers and as they are doing us a great great favor... so we can't hurry them or make any unnecessary requests... Even a C person like Derrick has to manage his expectation.

While we are together... we decided to do up our invitation cards..!! we kinda quite experience now after helping Karen and Daniel writing their wedding card last Sunday.

Beside that, we have been buying bathroom items which we later regretted it.. Cut the long story short... We been going to Balastier quite a few times now.... And fell in love with the Balastier Long Fa Tao Sha Piah. hahaha....

I'm also glad that we have just confirmed our photographers today. Elvis and Reuben... Guess most of you are familiar with Elvis... As for Reuben.. he is a professional photographer who is referred by my bro. We engage him because of his photography skill... View the album he created for other clients and we were indeed impressed. haha.. sort of balance up my disappointment on not adding any extra wedding photos.

Went to Ikea today.. I have a happy time shopping and strolling around. Never buy anything yet... dun want to make the same mistake we make previously.. haha...we have beef meatball for dinner at Ikea... I love it too... Now I understand why Jamie loves to eat their meatballs... haha...

Anyway... God has been good.. despite of the lack of time to work these few days, I manage to fix an appointment by striking a very causal conversation with a secretary while accompanying my dad to the law firm... I am completely surprised that she is keen to talk about her daughters insurance. hahaahaa.. praise God

    Renovation in Progress ~~~ Sweat

We are now at the beginning phase of renovating Derrick's rooms as I am moving in to stay with his family after marriage. Hence, yesterday we spend the whole night dismantling his chunky bed frame and book shelf (those bed that your dad bought when you are just a little boy) ..... For that, we slept at around 4am. Woah.. it's not a easy task men!! At least for the ladies... I really admire him for being able to single handedly dismantle everything into pieces... I think these manual work makes a man look even more MANLY ~~~ Feeling very tired now... have been packing, sweeping, mobbing, wiping, clearing, throwing, Sneezing and snoring ... Opps.. Derrick should be even more tired!! haha.... this is just the beginning!!

Photo Selection (I really expect them to be pushy but.....)

Went to select photos yesterday.... Photos was great.. esp those that we took outdoor!! But I am disappointed!!! :(

As I thought strongly that they will push very hard on us to get more photos outside of the usual package. (at least most of the couples I know told me to prepare for pushy sales pitch).... Very surprisingly, they never push us AT ALL. Yes!!! You never hear wrongly... they never even ask us to top up at all. Nothing... they just say OK and we leave!!

You might be thinking... "Siao ah!! Isn't that good they dun push you??".... like that "pb" say... you won't be viewing your album so often after your wedding. Isn't it good you are spare from feeling obligated to get more photos?

haha... Alright .. tell you the truth!! I have my plans lor... I have set aside some budget to get a little more since we took 288 photos. But each extra photo is close to a hundred bucks. Would you want to pay so much for additional 2-3 more photos?? Hence, I thought they will throw in more freebies or discount after much persuasion if we insist not to get more. Haiz... I am a little emo now. feeling unusual about their indifferent sale process... :(

Hmmmm...or should I feel happy that my pocket did not burn a hole?? and perhaps I can use that money for some better use.

Just side track... I am proud of my neighbor yesterday. They caught a thief red-handed at my block who comes often to steal their Underwears...Scary men. This thief was in action at the level I am staying. OMG... how gross!! I managed to saw that thief. His leg was tied up with many layers of nylon string and was decently dressed in his formal work wear. Haiz... how has the world become!!! Anyway... my block hasn't been safe... during my poly days... I met a flasher while going home late and that traumatize me quite a while. Alright...I shall not bring up the past...

Anyway, I wonder will my neighbour be awarded with the "Good citizen Awards" ??? ***Clap****

    Another day of Photoshoot :)

This time round we were more prepared. More experience. Know what to expect. Lesser mosquito bites. Like I says, it's a blessing in disguise. The mistake of assigning a wrong photographer gave us an extra day of outdoor photoshoot which others pay extra $300 for 2 separate days of shooting. And because of that, I was able to select another gown for the extra outdoor shoot. We were less tired and my hair was less messy too... it's really blessing in disguise.

美中不足的是... aiyoh... it poured like crazy in the afternoon. Thank God we took some photos at Punggol with the trees and the lalang b4 the out poured... the rest of the photos were mainly indoor. The rain sort of cool us down too.. cos derrick sweats alot. I mean Alot Alot.... I call him 水鬼. Bumped into Jinsheng at Bras Basah after finish shooting at a bookstore too.

I think the photos will turned out well. the second photoshoot mainly comprises the recollection of our student days. Beside going back to our sec school, we even went to Indian magazine stalls at Little India for the shoot. Cool right ??!! Overall, we preferred to have a separate day of shooting. My advise for future couples to request for separate day for studio shooting and outdoor shoot.

Nowww.. the problem comes... so much photo taken but we are only selecting that limited photos. Every extra photos come with an EXTRA cost. hmmmm... we are discussing how much do we allow ourselves to be pushed.

    N298

Finally I went over to my first adult CG today... Didn't want to blog about it until everything has more or less settle down... So how's my experience there?? Beside enjoying the fellowship of one another, I really love the CG venue... It's right behind Plaza Sing... And needless to say about the renovation of the apartment... It's fantastic. Of cuz, it's great knowing new people.

It's indeed a very new and fresh environment for me. All of a sudden I can understand how a new friend feels when they first step into cg. Thanks God for ppl like Karen and Daniel for making me feel so at ease... You know what!!! I felt a little foreign when I attends an adult cg... All my life as a believer had been revolve around Youth and Youth only...In fact, the past 7 years of my leadership, I am always the oldest in my cg. It's sort of my first time being in an Adult Cg meeting people from different aspect of industries. However, I truly believes that CHANGES are the only constant in life and it's time to step out of my comfort zone again. I am learning and praying that I will transist well!! haha

In any case, I misses my previous CG- N28.... Misses Sheng hong and zuben guitar playing... misses nat and kok tiong's lame game leading, steph's refreshment and the rest that are not mention... I really miss them very much !! Thanks for bringing joy and laughter into my life.

Brought back to our memory lanes

We just went back to my Secondary School today.. the old premises which was now occupied by Peicai Sec. Going back not because we were so free but we intend we take our wedding photoshoot in our secondary school, hence have to get the permission from the school... They gladly say Yes!!

As we walked around the school... both of us can't help but keep sharing about what we used to do at the basketball court, how we can escape from school through the secret hole at air-rifle range, how some of our classmate fell flat at big "Long kang", how Mr Wong wanted to slapped Mohan for being rude to him.....Passed by the canteen and was reminded how Derrick purposefully walked pass me to drop his empty plates.... hehehe. It truly brought back so much wonderful memories as a student during then...

And yes... we have known one another for 13 years and the memories of our sec school days were still as sweet as before. Clearly remembered walking out of school together after our Chinese Oral and the short journey was unforgettably sweet... Back in school day, we seldom sit together or be found walking together as to prevent "gossips" in school... hehe...

Enough of these sweetie memories... bought Nippon paint today and getting ready to paint our master bedroom soon. Friday will be our second photoshoot... I think that it's a blessing in disguise la... haha.

    Celebrating 2 Mothers' Day

It's been 2 years of celebrating 2 mothers' day..... cool... these years were no longer celebrating 1 mothers' day but 2 .... I am glad that Derrick mum and sister came to service on Sunday. His sister was rather impressed by our church's structure and the BV. I prayed that this visit shall be one of her many visits in the future. Anyway, we took alot of pictures liken coming to a tourist attraction. haha.... After service, we brought them to Hanabi, a Japanese buffet restaurant for dinner and Marina Keppel for more photoshoot.

Anyway, Derrick's mum is going through a minor leg surgery at TTSH today. Took the courage to actually prayed for her (because Derrick as usual sabo me!!! (angry))....But I can sense that she was touched by our gesture... that's goood... Pray that the recovery process will be speedy and she will get well soon!!

    Wedding Photo Shoot

We are just back from our photoshoot... Very tired but I'm excited to blog about it.

First of all, I'm very nervous the night before. Prayed and thank God for good weather today.

Everything is extremely rush today.... Woke up at 7am and travel all the way up to bukit panjang just to buy balloons.

Came to the bridal shop to realise that they assign a wrong photographer for us.... haiz... hence, we were delayed for 1 hour. But they allowed us to go for another photoshoot next week... So case close.

帅 帅 帅 !! this suit looks fabulous on him... Looks like those Korean stars.. haha... and everyone gave great comments on his tailor made suit... Stunning !!

Anyway, the process was fun.... smile until we were so tired... till we find ways to motivate one another to smile by telling each other that we will close very very big case. Every time, we said that, our smile becomes wider. Anyway, didn't manage to finish shooting today... gotta go back next friday again...

Right after everything, both of us went for leg massage at China Town and a buffet dinner at Quality Hotel.... What a great way to reward ourselves.... haha... really excited and nervous how the photo will turned out to be!!

This is a brand new shoes bought for our wedding. But it was too late... we couldn't find it anywhere in church now even though someone left it at the lost and found counter. I am so upset with myself... Now we have to spend another $179 to buy back a similar shoes.... If any of you seen a Tangs Bag lying around in church, do let me know ok!! haiz..... (anyway, I do have the anointing somehow to recover misplace item! I ever lost walletssss, IC, data... and somehow I can recover back...)

Ok ok... we really have been spending lotsa money and honestly I really feel the pinch... There's still alot of unsettled things that we need to get it done asap... like buying furnitures, honeymoon, caterer and etc........ God... I need more VITAMIN M....

    100 YEARS OLD Birthday Bash

My Great Grand Auntie had just turned 100 Years old one day after Labor Day!! WOW

It's a grand affair for the family where they threw a celebration of 20 tables at 千喜楼。Even Straits times came to cover the event!!

I'm glad to says that this party was very heart warming as the 4th generation Great grand children came up with a montage on the life journey of my great grand auntie. As they played 出路 sang by 动力火车, I can't help but to really salute those early pioneers for their contribution for Singapore development.

More than just good food, there were also a well-planned programmed lined up for us!! Haha...

This lady is my GG auntie's daughter in law... She is in the lime light most of the time.

Heng Ah Ah.... Born in 1909 and had survive in both World War...

    Family tree

    I'm the 4th Generation

    DRAMA - 4th Place

Proudly presents to you our CK drama team!! Still very raw but I am happy that everybody had a good laugh... Even Javier enjoys himself.. Heard from Evelyn that Javier was laughing all the way while trying to describe to her about the drama scenes. I think he couldn't recognise me and told Evelyn that Auntie Serena is acting also!! haha

Karen Chia acted as a Malaysian and an Indian woman who speaks with a very strong Indian accent! She did an awesome job...

I am a Bimbo.... as usual!!

Leroy acted as a useless son who day dream of being the lead actor in Little Nonya Part 2

A market scene with the 三姑六婆. I think this was the funniest scene where we tried to persuade Ah Geow (Audrey) to go for mammogram. I don't why we got into the topic on Swine flu and Indian rojak. lol

Overall, I think we still have so much room for improvement!! Uncontrollably, we broke into laughters a few times on stage. This is very Unprofessional!! But that's because Audrey's wig dropped!!lol... But like I says, everybody have a good laugh and we hope to bring you better dramas next time.

Anyway, tml is gown fitting and trial make up.. Pray that everything will turned out well!!

PS: And "Aaron... if you are reading this... thanks alot for your wedding gifts... you are so thoughtful!! Forgive you for not being our emcee for the day!! haha (joking).. we are so blessed to have a friend like you!!
